Courses and practical exercises

A university is commonly defined as a high-level educational institution but a more appropriate definition would be to say: a university is an academic institution for learning, both for students and professors.

Students are welcomed to participate in several experimental and theoretical activities both on a Ba and MSc level.

Ba/MSc projects description

An undergraduate course option on "Engineering Materials" to the freshman has been developed. This entails the development of conceptual framework through a set of five questions:

  1. How are atoms held together in solids?
  2. Do solids contain defects?
  3. How do solids respond to extrinsic influences?
  4. How can we store information in materials?
  5. How can we transmit information using materials?

This approach, where different materials types are covered in an integrated manner, will be taught in 2011.
